The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday issued a restraint order to prevent Ravi Rishi, a London-based NRI businessman and accused in a case of alleged irregularities in the purchase of Tatra trucks for the Army, from leaving the country.
The lookout notice was issued after Army Chief Gen. V.K. Singh alleged, in an interview to The Hindu that Lt. Gen. (retired) Tejinder Singh had offered him a bribe for clearing a consignment of “sub-standard” trucks. Lt. Gen. Singh has denied the allegations and filed a defamation case against Gen. Singh and some other senior Army officers.
