Ansari elected again


Hamid Ansari re-elected as the vice-president of India beating opposition candidate  Jaswant Singh.  A total of 740 Members of Parliament(From both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) cast their vote in the Vice Presidential election today. Out of which Ansari got a huge share of votes.  With the total number of voting members reduced to 752 because of some parties abstaining from election and some medical reasons, the halfway mark for Ansari has become 377. He got 490 votes.
