Syria: No more a member of OIC

Organisation of Islamic Cooperation(OIC),head quartered at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia suspends Syria's membership. This move aims at ending violence against its own citizens. Syria currently undergoes a civil war which saw the maximum amount of death in the history of Arab nations. This decision was taken neglecting Iran's strong opposition in this regard.
Earlier in 2011 Syria was suspended from Arab League also.

Cincinnati Masters

Roger Federer beat Novak Djokovic 6-0, 7-6 (9-7) to win the Cincinnati Masters, an event he has now won a record five times. Currently Federer is the number one in rankings.








China’s Li Na won the women's title beating Germany’s Angelique Kerber in the final.
