Chairman of CCI

Former Gujarat cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Devender Kumar Sikri appointed as chairman of fair-trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI).He will succeed Ashok Chawla whose tenure ended as the Chairman of CCI. He will have tenure of two and half years i.e. till he attains the age of 65 years.

India's 1st World Music Festival

Udaipur will host India’s first World Music Festival on February 13 and 14 where more than 100 musicians from over 12 countries, including Spain, Ghana, Italy, France, Venezuela and India will perform. The festival will reportedly be held annually at the same time in Udaipur and will aim to make it a world music destination in South Asia.One of the most popular Fado singers from Portugal, Carminho will be performing for the first time in India at the event.
