Over 2000 weather stations to come up in Maharashtra

The Maharashtra Government is planning to set up 2025 automatic weather stations across the state so that farmers can benefit from the information to decide on the cropping pattern and take preventive steps to protect the standing crops in case of adverse weather. The Rs. 1000 crore will get a viability gap funding from the centre.
