The
Commerce Ministry has proposed to the Finance ministry to exempt Pakistan from
the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations. Once the go-ahead
comes, foreign direct investment from Pakistan will be possible through the
Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB).
