Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will discuss Teesta pact and Tipaimukh Dam project will come in to discussion in the talks with former Bangladesh President Hussain Muhammad Ershad. Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai hosted a dinner for the visiting leader whose party is a part of Bangladesh's current government. Ershad recently conducted a campaign demanding that the Teesta river water-sharing deal between the two countries be signed soon and a joint study be conducted to assess environmental and socio-economic impacts of the Tipaimukh Dam project on the region before its implementation.
