Former Indian Test Captain and ace spinner Anil Kumble has resigned as the Chief Mentor of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians with an immediate effect.Kumble picked out the team's title winning run at the IPL and Champions League in 2013 as the team's biggest achievement. Mumbai also went on win their second IPL title in 2015, when they beat Chennai Super Kings in Kolkata.The Reliance Group which owns Mumbai Indians had earlier this month appointed Sundar Raman, the former chief operating officer of the IPL, as their chief executive for their sporting operations.
